Michael Schumacher |
I am as much of a fan of the procession that Formula1 has become as the next
person, but all credit to Michael Schumacher for giving £5.2m (about
US$9.5m) to the Tsunami fund.
Sure, he has a lot of money, but that must be a significant proportion of
what he has.

Saddam has continued to produce them, that he has existing and active
military plans for the use of chemical and biological weapons, which could
be activated within 45 minutes

Even today I am willing to volunteer to do the dirty work for Israel, to
kill as many Arabs as necessary, to deport them, to expel and burn them, to
have everyone hate us, to pull the rug from underneath the feet of the
Diaspora Jews, so that they will be forced to run to us crying. Even if it
means blowing up one or two synagogues here and there, I don't care.

What is your obsession with having sex with yout father? Believe it or not,
it isn't normal outside your family.

I hadn't heard that about Schuie. He's a helluva driver, too. However,
it would be nice to see someone else get the championship next year.

More than 1,000 Germans missing, feared dead, also more than 1,000 Swedes, 440
British. Phuket was very popular amongst Europeans.
British people have so far donated over £100 million - the largest charity
donation ever. The UK government promises £100s of millions.
The Thais, being by far the most developed country to have been affected, have
dealt with the tragedy extremely well with good hospitals, infrastructure and
emergency services. As expected the more god-soaked Indonesia and Sri Lanka
have come off worst. The correlation between religion and ability to deal with
disasters seems to hold in this region.

Imagine what a world we would have, if in place of every temple
and church we had built a hospital or school, if in place of
every priest and shaman we had trained a doctor or a teacher.
I wish I lived in that world.

Absolutely - I saw something on the news tonight that sickened me. An
Iman was in the Mosque in Banda Aceh preaching that 101,000
Indonesians were killed by Allah because mankind was sinful. Nothing
new in that I know but apparently one third of the dead are "sinful"
children.
Sick bastards. Your version of "Imagine" seems all the more poignant.

The correlation between religion and civilized development holds true
everywhere. The less developed a country is, the more superstitious it is.

Considering the number of god-soaked fools in the US, it kind of shoots
this theory down.
