Million Man March leadership seeks accountability to the people
WASHINGTON (FinalCall.com) - Like a stealthbomber traveling under
America's radar, the unity of Black leaders from around the country
exploded March 9 with a group of "Who's Who in Black America"
meeting with an agreement to sign a covenant of accountability to Black
people. The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan announced his wishes to
hold a public signing of the covenant in front of the Black press.
"We will sign the covenant that we will all agree to live by. We will
ask the people to support us, so we can build institutions that will go
on after we're gone," he explained.
"The whole world is awaiting our rise. If we can collectively do
something to move our people, this is the time we should seize," he
told the participants. "The whole world is awaiting our rise," he
repeated. "When we rise, White supremacy falls. When we rise, our
divinity rises."
