Moore Suspended from a rope by his neck |
That's the kind of suspension that I **wish** Moore would had gotten
from the court, instead of just being suspended from his duties for ten
days with pay. Moore hasn't been performing his duties for over two
years anyway, so I don't see the point of arbitrarily drawing the line
here :).

Not to quibble, but how is a person suspended "from" a rope? I'd think it
would be difficult to be suspended from a rope by one's neck . . .
It'd be much easier to be suspended from the ceiling with a rope attached to
the neck . . . I dunno, I suppose as elastic as the english language is,
anything is possible . . .
Not to quibble, though . . .

It's just second level of indirection. His body is suspended from a rope
that is suspended from some high structure, or something. The
alternative would be to say, "he was suspended from a tree limb by a rope
around his neck" or something. I just didn't want to get that specific.

So has that rock been removed yet, or is this another chicken
that has yet to hatch?

I understand . . . unfortunately, being "that specific" has always been one
of my failings, and one of the aspects that led me to become bound in
fundamentalist theology. It's that "taking everything literally" thing.
Also find succintness & brevity rather difficult, which makes ordinary
conversation somewhat tedious, except for occasional moments of humor . . .
But if there's ever a need for relentless thoroughness, I'm your guy . . .

Is THAT when he became a judge?

Now that you mention it Moore may have been neglecting his duties for a
bit longer :). But he definitely has been in dereliction of his duties
ever since he illegally installed his monumentally stupid ten
commandments monument on public property.

Something tells me he committed fraud the first time he cashed a
public pay check.
