I hate to tell you, but most of the anti-smoking nazis are leftists and
hardly moralists.

Indoor smoking is not a kooky moralist issue. It is a legit public
health issue that crosses many lines that otherwise divide people
politically. My county council person is a conservative Republican,
and there is almost nothing upon which he and I agree, but we both
support banning indoor smoking. The Democratic county executive
considers in too business-unfriendly, and threatened a veto.
We just moved to the municipality next door, which bans all indoor
smoking in public places. Three cheers for Clayton, Missouri!

I don't agree. Walking into a store where smoking is allowed,
I'd turn around and find me a store that bans smoking. Let the
customers decide.

Most reasonable people agree that companies should not be allowed to
require employees to work in dangerous conditions.
