The bishop accuses atheists of "virulent, almost irrational"
attacks on Christianity.
What does "almost irrational" mean?

What does "almost irrational" mean?
Like all the other accusations against atheists by Christians, he's
projecting.
He has no idea what an atheist is, and has no interest in finding out.
And his own behaviour towards us is,to use his words, virulent and
irrational attacks.
But then he's got God on his side.

What does "almost irrational" mean?
That he can see exactly why this purported behaviour arose from
entirely rational origins, but does not wish to admit that, as it is
devestatingly embarrassing with respect to his straw men and
outrageous lies.

The bishop talks about "atheistic fundamentalism":
| "It leads to the language of expulsion and exclusivity, of
| extremism and polarisation, and the claim that because God is
| on our side, he is not on yours."
http://tinyurl.com/3x7qjq
Perhaps the bishop is being misquoted or quoted out of context,
but he seems to be saying that atheists believe God is on their
side and not on the side of believers.

Wow.
Yet another example of a fine-upstanding church leader who deludedly
imagines himself a paragon of virtue, lying through his teeth about
atheists.
There is no such thing as an atheist fundamentalist. He is stupid to
understand that ordinary decent people who don't happen to believe as
he does, are no longer putting with the bigotry, arrogance, repeated
lies and nastiness from people like him.
