More Evidence of Evolution - The Dinosaur Ancestor of Birds Starts to Clarify |
Carl Zimmer at www.scienceblogs.com/loom:
http://tinyurl.com/2jp8xo
reports on Mahakala omnogovae
"At about a pound and a half, Mahakala omnogovae was certainly a cute
dinosaur. But cuteness is not why paleontologists traveled to the
remote ends of Mongolia to find it. It's part of a much bigger story."
and
"Adding Mahakala to the mix produces a tree that shows birds sharing a
common ancestry with two groups of dinosaurs--the dromeosaurids and
the troodontids."
and
"Scientists have been discovering more and more dinosaur fossils with
traces of feathers or feather-like growths on their skin. In this new
tree, a species known as Jinfengopteryx--which had originally been
considered a bird--ends up on the troodontid branch, complete with
contour feathers of the sort you can find on birds today. It's
additional evidence that the common ancestor of birds and troodontids
and dromeosaurids already had fairly sophisticated feathers."

That was a nice find. We've found a few more pieces of the puzzle.

How do you know that God didn't create a dinosaur with flying ability?

There's no evidence for it. There isn't even any evidence any of the gods

Well since she 'plonked' me for that, I would say that her's is
different than ours. According to the Bible "there are many lords and
many gods...and one Lord (Jesus) and one God (Jehovah). Satan, who is
a creation of Jehovah, is now, "ruler of the world." I just surmize
that a witchcraft person is tuned in to that 'other one', Satan.

I thought the "good one" and the son, were just extensions of each

Biological systems don't look anything like human designed ones.
Humans make networks: they borrow ideas from one area to use in
another. So car designers took computers and put them in cars. We
don't see this in biota: bat wings are more like elephant legs or
whale flippers than they are like bird wings.

How do you know that God didn't create a dinosaur with flying ability?
There's no evidence for it. There isn't even any evidence any of the gods
or goddesses exist.
I am sure you are so nice looking and well put together with all your

You commented that some human bodies look so "marvelous" with "systems
within systems" that they must have been designed. I decided to ignore
the question about the less marvelous looking bodies and talk about
design in general. When humans design things they borrow ideas from
elsewhere. The people designing cars did not independently design
computers, instead they took the design of chips and computers from
the computer line. We don't see anything like that in biology. If
organisms are designed, then the designers don't talk to each other
and don't look at each others work. Otherwise the designer of flying
mammals would have borrowed from the designer of flying reptiles.

That is the thing about an Intelligent Designer, isn't it?
An Intelligent Designer would learn from it's errors wouldn't you
think?
Wouldn't an Intelligent Designer would be expected to remove redundant
components from the body, in the same way that An Intelligent "car"
Designer does.
Wouldn't an Intelligent Designer, be expected to give it's "Top of the
Range" design, the best of everything?
Any second year engineering student, could point out the flaws in the
"design" of the human body.
Wouldn't an Intelligent Designer, capable of designing and
constructing a human being, be expected to know the rudiments of
leverage, and stress?

There is nothing in biology (geology, physics, etc.) that denies the
hand of God: simply put science produces explanations that do not
*require* the hand of God. It is possible that the angels push the

There are many though in your scientific communities that exclude for
an outside force to their determined scientific theory and make for
that as a etched in stone bona fide theory. Terminologies are used so
glibly in those scientific communities like the commercial with the
birds on the perch 'doing' stuff to get along. The slant is that
'they' are the ones thinking without giving possibility that they are
reacting without other recourse than their spontaneous activity.
Most logical people IMO would say they are not having a great brain

an outside force to their determined scientific theory and make for
that as a etched in stone bona fide theory.
What is an "outside force"? There are natural (law-like) forces, which
are scientific, and willful forces, which are not. And all science
excludes such willful forces from their models.
Terminologies are used so
glibly in those scientific communities like the commercial with the
birds on the perch 'doing' stuff to get along. The slant is that
'they' are the ones thinking without giving possibility that they are
reacting without other recourse than their spontaneous activity.
Most logical people IMO would say they are not having a great brain
session before doing all the seeming miraculous things that they do.
I have no idea what point you are making.

remote ends of Mongolia to find it. It's part of a much bigger story."

"Adding Mahakala to the mix produces a tree that shows birds sharing a

the troodontids."

How do you know that God didn't create a dinosaur with flying ability?
There is nothing in biology (geology, physics, etc.) that denies the
hand of God: simply put science produces explanations that do not
*require* the hand of God. It is possible that the angels push the
Moon in its orbit, but we don't include them in our calculations.- Hide quoted text -

There are many though in your scientific communities that exclude for
an outside force to their determined scientific theory and make for
that as a etched in stone bona fide theory.

I am not so sure you can mutually exclude your attempted definitions
here. If God created wind I am sure he could use it in many ways and
not use it at all.

I am just trying to point out that scientific 'explanations' are just
not well-defined while still trying to make their point absolute.
