More fun with Conserapedia |
I know it's like making fun of the handicapped, but it's so
entertaining.
My favorite entry is for the Sun:
http://www.conservapedia.com/Sun
Two lines and they're both wrong! (sun is not on fire, and
was created on the *fourth* day of Genesis)
but there's lots of other material. Here, the writers
get confused between and "article" and a discussion
page, and grant wonderful insight into the depth
of their thoughts
http://www.conservapedia.com/Crusades..._Good_or_Bad%3F
For most superfluous religious comment, I nominate
kangaroo
http://www.conservapedia.com/Kangaroo
whose legs were "designed by God for leaping". Why
did God want kangaroos to leap? Although
I also find it interesting that even for
the "metric system"
http://www.conservapedia.com/Metric_System
they cite a creationist textbook.
I think it says something that their article on
homosexuality
http://www.conservapedia.com/Homosexuality
is two or three times as long as their
article on Jesus
http://www.conservapedia.com/Jesus
Although their article on James Maxwell (father
of electromagnetism) is very short, they still
find room to mention that he didn't believe in
evolution
http://www.conservapedia.com/James_Maxwell
Can't figure out whether the Noah comment
about drunkenness is vandalism or
just honesty:
http://www.conservapedia.com/Noah
I'm considering starting a "Conservapedia
Hall of Fame" website. Contributions
anyone?

To quote from the article:
" have two of every "clean"(kosher) animal and 7 of every clean
animal."
I think that is vandalism, they couldn't possibly tolerate that much
honesty. :-)
Lisbeth.

How about this one:
http://www.conservapedia.com/Fossils
All the answers in a single sentence. Nothing more to learn.
http://www.conservapedia.com/Moon is woeful, and includes at least
one big lie.

all"
"Even physics is based on wrong theories, so what's the use of maths"

These people can't have much time to edit over at conservapedia - take
a look at the "recent edits" page
http://www.conservapedia.com/Special:Recentchanges
All they seem to do is block people...
BTW, their entry on beef is a cracker..

Some of the entries are by vandals. The problem is that you often can't
tell the vandals from the sincere editors. Most telling, this applies,
in my opinion, to remarks made by the FOUNDER of the wiki.
