Most useless thoughts of human history: 07 |
Value of pi=3.141592
note: 1. It does not have experiment verification. Search net. Needle
applet never show above value. 2. Side of polygon is straight line.
When we approximate it with length of curve, there always remain
difference, however small it may be. This small difference is ignored
when we add lengths of sides of polygon. Correct value of pi may be
3.154700.

No. The correct value of pi cannot be 3.154700. And we do not approximate
the sides of polygons with length of curve, but vice versa. Also, the
value of
pi is established mathematically, not experimentally.

Do you ever express yourself without disrespecting others? Do you have
self-esteem issues or what?

When they deserve it. What is there to respect when an idiot
repeatedly posts stupidity where it is neither wanted nor needed?
Do you always amateur-psychologise your own lies about others?

Dutch,
These terms such as idiot and moron have definitions. They are not just
words plucked from your mind at random to apply to people you know
nothing of. It's amazing when you have an open mind, what you can truly
learn. Try it! I dare you. Instead of approaching what someone has to
say with a defensive posture. Try just listening without judging. At
times you will smile to yourself (or laugh to yourself, which is even
better), but many times you will feel yourself leaning in to listen.
You are only a product of "YOUR" experiences. Try walking others paths
for a few minutes or days or whatever - you choose.
Example: Punk kid at work, everyone thought (except Me, or course).
Heard him driving off from work listening to classical music, something
from the 50's another, then Johnny Cash another day, and then Greenday.
He's 17! Interesting, no? So I leaned in closer. He's brilliant! He's
fresh, not jaded, not embittered like most people my age have become. I
spend every chance I get just to listen to his stories! People see me
talking with Caleb, and they start revolving around us! Damn, Caleb has
things to say! Dutch, you would say: "Punk Kid!" Get it, I hope so. It
will probably be the greatest lesson you will ever learn.
Armchair therapy or wisdom from experience. If you find yourself not in
a position of being the most intelligent person in the room, your in
the best place you can be in my opinion! Would you prefer to sit in a
room where you are the most intelligent, and listen to yourself talk?
Some would, sad to say!
The only thing I can say, it's fucking marvelous! (Pink Floyd - Dark
Side of the Moon)
There's a pleasure sure in being mad, that only madmen know! (Lost the
File) LOL

Thanks for the, um, tip Mahalia (do you know of your namesake "Jackson"?)
but I didn't used those words. Curiously, those ARE favorite adjectives of
the person I am addressing

Are you saying that Chris Lee is a kid? (how do you know?) and that somehow
that should excuse his incessant reliance on insults to express himself?
Usenet is a very fair forum, anyone can choose their preferred way to
communicate and be judged on that basis, regardless of age, sex, or
religion.

I'm happy in both roles. In alt.philosphy I am mainly just lurking and
learning.

I have searched every corner of net. I have not found any experimental
proof except buffon needle applet. I ran it for hours. No expected
result. I have studied Archemedes method. Length of perimeter can not
equal length of circumference. And pi is not used in equation of
projectile motion. You must support your irritation by strong
reasoning.
