"12% of adults believe that the name of Noah's wife was Joan of Arc. "

: Half of all adults (49%) believe that the Bible teaches that money is
: the root of all evil. One-third (37%) disagree with this contention.
: The actual teaching indicates that it is the love of money that is the
: root of all evil. (1994).
Well if the "love of money" is a root, wouldn't plain "money" be a more
fundamental root? If there was no money, then there would be no love
to cause evil.
I present this rather glibly, because I have a few religious nut friends
who like to spout off this ***** as evidence of their superior knowledge
of the Bible.

If money is a more basic root of evil, then trees are an even more
basic root. And we all know who invented trees.

Just a FYI, trees are not used to make money ( Well, at least not American
currency ) they're made with cotton and linen fibers.

In Australia, the notes are made of plastic. Where does plastic come from
? Oil. Where does oil (eventually) come from? Trees. QED.

As sort of an aside I realize that BARNA has now pulled their research
regarding marriage off of their website when it showed that atheists had the
lowest divorce rate of any group listed by religious affiliation or
non-affiliation...including groups where divorce is forbidden by religious
tenets.
