My BBS run by The Evil One |
I don't make this stuff up, I swear. There _are_ Christians out there
that are profoundly broken and sice I've got something near 300,000 web
pages across about 20 web sites now, I continue to get inbound email
that's frankly bizzare and amusing.
Here's a response to an email I received from poor old Bill. You might
notice that over the past 10 years, I've mellowed considerably in the
way I respond to such things.

a fictional character created for television and that

She has her opinions as we all do however she
teaches the Faith.
Well, insofar as fictional characters can, yes,
then so does Wonder Woman, Batman, Superman, and
any other fictional construct you can find one
television.
What is Caroline doing for her church or her fellow
Christians??
Disabusing them of their occultism, one would hope.
It is people like her and you that we pray for so
she may God willing be with Him in Heaven when her
time comes.
Well, if you're talking about being "with" any
of the Christian gods, nobody in their right
mind would want to be anywhere near any of them
seeing as how they're depicted in the classical
Christanic mythologies as brutal monsters.
So I'm sure that your efforts to throw hexes
and curses at Caroline will not harm her in the
least. Think your nasty little thoughts of
hatred and murder at whom ever you wish, you
can be sure that they'll all remain unaffected.
<heh> Maybe if you shook some rattles while you
mumble your Christanic incantations, maybe that
would work.

You might ask your doctor to adjust your medication
-- or have your doctor remove your Internet access.
Either remedy should alleviate the distress that
the truth inflicts upon you, I'm sure.

The person sent copies of his little kook rant to a bunch of
his friends, some of the names of which I were able to find on
the Internet as being leaders of his particular cult.
So his email to me about "the work of the Evil One" was part of
his effort to show his cult masters that he's "confronting evil"
like a good insane Christian cultist.

He certainly appears to be a genuine Fundamentalist Christian: did
you check for drool just to be sure?
Freaky how these kooks have so much ego and delusions of grandure
that they actually believe they are doing the work of the gods.
