Object: My new walking boots
I bought a lovely pair of "Colorado" walking boots the other day in TK-
Maxx 75% off RRP. "Wonderful" I thought, "What an amazing bargain".
They are incredibly comfortable and I felt like I could walk forever
in them without getting blisters or tired feet.
The second time I went out in them, one of the soles fell off, and I
had to limp home with one leg suddenly 1" shorter than the other one.
Upon examination, I discovered that there had been nothing holding the
sole on but apparently faith, belief and prayer - not a sign of any
real, tangible adhesive.
***** that for a game of soldiers. Clearly, faith, belief and prayer
are *****-poor substitutes for things that work using the laws of
physics.

But the sole is eternal.

had to limp home

If you truly believed that you had a sole, you wouldn't have had to limp.

with one leg suddenly 1" shorter than the other one.

You should have prayed for it to grow again.
Or taken another blue pill ;-)

That's because the Almighty Adhesive doesn't want to make it too easy for
people to believe in it.

You should stick with the Almighty Adhesive, by Gum.

Well, they were 75% off. Maybe they meant it literally.
Hope you weren't too far away from home.

Stitching of sound cord would be even better.

I think in this case laws relating to merchantable quality would be of
