My Open Letter to duke's Catholic Priest |
Dear Father Gerard Martin,
It has come to my attention that a parishioner by the name of Earl
Weber of Baton Rouge attends the Saint Patrick Catholic Church in
Baton Rouge. I think it is important to inform that as a Catholic, he
is suffering from the error of racism.
To wit, here are some of the examples Earl J Weber's virulent hatred
of people not of his skin color:
"time to change the sig, chink yang"
-Earl J Weber, 1/13/2006
"can't talk about anything, little ChiNK boy "
-Earl J Weber, 5/1/2006
The Catholic church should be commended for repudiating the historical
racism exemplified by Hitler and others. I think it is important to
continue that vigilance against Earl Weber and his error of racism

Racism is not nice. Unfortunately the anti-racist movement often leads
people into errors just as serious as the racial hatred they are reacting
against, and it is used by many atheists as a lever for deChristianising
society - they know that people are not quite ready to believe that
Christmas should not be celebrated, but if you say that Hannukah and Ramadan
and Diwali must all be accorded the same respect, you can achieve much the
same effect, in longer time.
So, yes, I will support you in this, as long as you guard against the likely
dangers, and see the understandable reasons why a Catholic might identify as
a racist, despite the clear teaching of the church that all men are eligible
for baptism and capable of receiving salvation.
