"The NBC Nightly News . with Brian Williams" will showcase AiG's future
Creation Museum on a nationwide news broadcast, Friday evening, March 25
(appropriately, this is Good Friday), 2005.
An NBC producer and video crew spent several hours at AiG a few days ago.
The producer informs us that on March 25, the news segment will look at
"vacation destination" possibilities for Christians. Even though the entire
Creation Museum, located two exits west of the Cincinnati Airport, will not
be open for at least two years (although initial sections will open later
this year), the work already completed at the museum site-and with the heavy
media coverage the museum has received worldwide-has prompted NBC to feature
this national center.
Please forward this email to your pastor, church friends, family and others
and let them know that AiG President Ken Ham and the museum will be on
national TV on the evening of March 25 (check your local listings for the
time in your area; schedule is subject to change). At the same time, let
them know of our museum website, www.CreationMuseum.org (where they can see
the museum progress).

What is there that can possibly be put in a MUSEUM for creationists besides
a copy of the bible? Some misinterpreted geological "evidence"?

be nice, interpretation is subjective and they believe what they want.
so long as they leave me and mine the frag alone what do i care? maybe
the sense of continuity and interconnectedness will open up a few minds.
maybe seeing everyone as being 'created' equal will lower some barriers.

Just watched it and...
I win. They started with a poll saying that something like 54% of
Americans believe in biblical creation, rather than evolution. They
did a short bit about Campus Crusade for Christ's missionaries on the
beaches at spring break. Then they mentioned the dinosaur theme park
(in California, I think). They finished up with the museum in
Cincinnati. They did have a quote from some guy who said that teaching
that earth was created in six days is the same as teaching kids that
the earth is flat. That was the only skeptic in the whole show.
Basically the message was that religious based travel is a growing
market. Apparently they're doing a whole week on "faith in America".
I guess it's for those who live under rocks and didn't realize we were
becoming the fundy capital of the world.

Oh, they probably wil give favorable treatment. Judging by
the number of books James Van Pragh has sold, the enduring
popularity of crap like Velikovsky, Erich von Daniken,
"miracle cures" at Lourdes, etc., rationalism isn't the best
money-making proposition. They'll also be showing the
developed world and even many "developing" countries what
backward, stupid assholes Americans are, once again. Thanks

Sounds like a great plan! As an atheist, I love going to fiction
museums. I went to the one in Seattle just a couple months ago. They
had the actual Darth Vader headpiece there, along with a replica of R2D2
and the actual Robot from Lost in Space. Was very fun to walk through.
I'd love to go to this Creation Museum, just for the sheer lunacy of
it. :-)
