Hey Fred, shut the ***** up.
Oh, and there is a difference between "defeatist" and being realistic.
***** NeoCons like you pretend nothing is wrong, that you "go with the
army you have, not the one you want", that it's okay to deny the
soldiers basic medical supplies. But somehow anyone who points out the
idiocy of the NeoCon war plan somehow "undermines" your Dear Leader's
war effort.

That was apparent long ago. There are some 'fortified enclaves,'
but that's what's known as a "target rich environment" for the
Iraqi's fighting for their country.

They're not going to attack our fortified enclaves when they can go
after softer targets like the Iraqi government forces or our
convoys. Guerilla warfare 101 - attack the enemy where he is weak,
retreat and hide when he comes at you in strength. Our military
leaders still don't get it.

What a waste of resources, infrastructure, and lives.

No *****..

Fucking liberal morons, still losing the Vietnam war...

And short of nuking N. Vietnam and starting WW3, how do you think that
we might have won? The fucking morons are the ones who send our troops
to fight and die in unwinnable wars then and now.

By continuing to support South Vietnam. They had already defeated the VC
insurgency.

My point is that Iraq bears little to no resemblance to Vietnam (except
maybe to a superficial simpleminded liberal) but you keep making the
comparisons anyway.

Just how me where in this thread I compared Iraq to Vietnam before you
chimed in.

Like Vietnam where we did in fact defeat the Viet Cong.

No, not really.

Like El Salvador where the insurgency essentially won?

You mean after Clinton withdrew support?

No dumbass. The government simply could not destroy
the insurgency and gave up.
The goverment realized the leftists were at a disadvantage
with elections and signed a peace treaty anfd let them run for office.
Damn art you ignorant!

Like Iraq where the insurgents kill almost at will?

Like Iraq where the insurgents are losing support with the populace
*because* they kill at random. Like Iraq which has held multiethnic
multiparty democratic elections?

They kill at will. They are nowhere near defeated.

Like Afghanistan where the insurgents are again
killing and growing opium at will, and in some cases
controlling large areas outside the cities?

Like Afghanistan where the insurgents are basically defeated and the
government is cracking down on opium production.

No, outside the cities, the Islamists rule in many places.
See the New York Times for details.
Your are pig ignorant to a startling degree.

Like Lebanon, where Reagan got a bunch of people
killed and then cut and ran?

Like Lebanon which has just tossed out the Syrians and elected the son
of the assassinated anti-Syrian leader?

Lebanon, where Reagan cut and ran.
The guerillas drove Israel out.
And the threat of action against the Syrians
forced the Syrians to withdraw lest they
become the new targets.
Again, you are incredibly, totally ignorant.

Somalia?

Where we were hamstrung by our "cooperation" with the UN?

There was a big meeting where heads of clans tried to reason with heads of
clans that were the problem. The US bombed the meeting place killing many
peoople including our allies.
The remainder turned against us totally and there was
no hope front that day as now all clans were our sworn enemies.
Clinton bailed on Bush's Somalia adventure,
which is good. The USAF sank any hope of victory.
You are so stupid it hurts to contemplate just how stupid and ill informed
you really are.
You know nothing.

We aided and abetted the Khmer Rouge insurgency
in Cambodia for ten years.

Umm, no, we didn't.

Yes, we did. Reagan demanded Cambodia's Khmer Rouge be seated as official
UN delegation of Cambodia and teh KR governmemnt be considered teh
government of note.
Reagan had the CIA smuggle $85 billionin aid to Pol Pots troops and winked
as China rearmed them. For years aid was sent via
the US to Pol Pots Khmer Rouge jungle army.
If you haven't been smart enough by now to know that
as many times as I have mentioned it, and have been too
intellectually lazy and stupid to catch it as it happened,
and too damned far right stupid to look up teh facts, you are obvious by
your failures to even care, stupid.
Proven stupid.
Willfully srtupid.
Intellectually incompetent and dishonest and
lazy.
You are ineducatable stupid.
Willfully stupid and you will die stupid.

Really, you aren't going to actually think, are you?

That was apparent long ago. There are some 'fortified

They're not going to attack our fortified enclaves when they
can go after softer targets like the Iraqi government forces
or our convoys. Guerilla warfare 101 - attack the enemy
where he is weak, retreat and hide when he comes at you in
strength.

What a waste of resources, infrastructure, and lives.

who send our troops to fight and die in unwinnable wars then

By continuing to support South Vietnam. They had already defeated
the VC insurgency.

My point is that Iraq bears little to no resemblance to Vietnam
(except maybe to a superficial simpleminded liberal) but you keep
making the comparisons anyway.

Just how me where in this thread I compared Iraq to Vietnam before
you chimed in.

"Guerilla warfare 101"; as if we never learned how to defeat an
insurgency.

Like Vietnam?

Like Vietnam where we did in fact defeat the Viet Cong.

No, not really.

Yes, really.

Like El Salvador where the insurgency essentially won?

You mean after Clinton withdrew support?

No dumbass. The government simply could not destroy
the insurgency and gave up.

Because Clinton withdrew support.

The goverment realized the leftists were at a disadvantage
with elections and signed a peace treaty anfd let them run for office.

So they didn't win. They quit fighting and became part of the political
process.

Damn art you ignorant!

Damn are you gullible.

Like Iraq where the insurgents kill almost at will?

Like Iraq where the insurgents are losing support with the populace
*because* they kill at random. Like Iraq which has held multiethnic
multiparty democratic elections?

They kill at will. They are nowhere near defeated.

Not "at will". They don't dare to strike at US or Iraqi military. They
hit civilians.

They're not the insurgents. Nice way to move the goalposts.

See the New York Times for details.

Sorry, the New York Times is not a credible source.

Your are pig ignorant to a startling degree.

You are sheep-gullible.

Like Lebanon, where Reagan got a bunch of people
killed and then cut and ran?

Like Lebanon which has just tossed out the Syrians and elected the
son of the assassinated anti-Syrian leader?

Lebanon, where Reagan cut and ran.
The guerillas drove Israel out.
And the threat of action against the Syrians
forced the Syrians to withdraw lest they
become the new targets.

So Bush's mideast initiatives had some good effect?

Again, you are incredibly, totally ignorant.

Again, you are a gullible fool.

Until the French were defeated and arbitrarily divided the country into
North and South, Vietnam was and is now again one country. As far as Ho
Chi Minh was concerned, it was a civil war to reunite his country. Go
and read the history of the conflict starting with the French
colonization of Indochina.
