New head of non-believers starts office
Sep. 19, 2005 at 12:21PM
Lori Lipman Brown, who describes herself as a "soft, fuzzy atheist,"
will be the new voice of the Secular Coalition of America in the
nation's capital.
Brown, who is the executive director of the coalition, says her
goals are to keep religion out of government and win respect for her
group, the USA Today reported.
Her challenge will be the Christian conservatives who wield
enormous clout in Washington.
But the 47-year-old Brown says she is not scared in her new job,
the newspaper reported. Before taking the job, Brown, a lawyer and a
teacher, was a state senator in Nevada.
"There's been so much rhetoric in the past decade about how
important religion is to being a good person," that "it's been scary"
for people to say they don't believe in God, she told the newspaper.
She vows to "use the A-word and not cringe."
Gary Bauer, a Christian conservative and former presidential
candidate, says the atheists' timing couldn't be worse, given Hurricane
Katrina.

I hold out the following challenge to christians:

You talk a great deal about evil and you choose to blame the devil, whom
you call Satan. I challenge you to read your bibles and find therein, just
one example of one act committed by Satan that is half as cruel, vicious,
brutal and sadistic as the hundreds of despicable acts committed by your
abominable god, Jehovah.

Anybody else notice that hurricanes most often slam into one of the areas
of the country that constitutes one of Bush's strongest support? I mean,
it's not like they regularly smack California. They hit some of the
reddest of the "red states."
So what *would the message be--if any--in hurricanes?

According to Pat Robinson - it's all because they picked Ellen
DeGeneres to be the host of the Emmys.
Ellen DeGeneres was also the reason for 9/11
