New insight, the utter stupidity and depravity of the Mosaic myth "Genesis" |
Saturday Dec.08 at 01:08 PST when I was lying in bed and realized
this and got up to log the time and write it up before it was lost:
The story goes that the tree of knowledge of good and evil would
give Adam and Eve the same wisdom and understanding as the Creator
himself already had, making them his peers instead of his
subsurevients. One aspect of this newfound wisdom is that it was
shameful to be nude. But there's nothing fucking shameful about
nudity. Thinking it's shameful is prudity, not knowledge. The tree
was a tree of prudism, not a tree of knowledge. But according to
the story, this newfound prudity about nudity was on par with the
Creator's already-existing understanding. That implies that all the
time before they "sinned", the Creator already understood that
their nudity was shameful, and yet he was sitting in Heaven
voyering them all the time, keeping them in the dark about his lust
for their private parts. He enjoyed watching his innocent creations
doing something he knew as shameful, basically "flashing" for him
24/7 but unaware themselves they were doing anything shameful. That
is such an utterly depraved and sick belief, that the true
understanding the Creator had from the start is that nudity is
truly shameful. The whole story is depraved from start to end. As a
result, the three major religions based on that myth are depraved.
What got me on this line of thought is that I was lying in bed
thinking of all the times in my entire life that I ever did
anything shameful, a total of three times as best I could count,
and suddenly thinking about the word "shame" got me thinking about
the Adam+Eve story about their shame, and voila, my new insight.
Back to my lonely bed at 01:24 PST ... will post this later during daytime.

story is once you have the knowledge of good and evil, it becomes a sin.

By your logic an animal is sinning because it is naked. The point of the
story is once you have the knowledge of good and evil, it becomes a sin.
An animal does not have the same sense of consciousness as a human. This
story is about how humans first realised their sense of "self" as an
individual not about nudity.

An animal does not have the same sense of consciousness as a human. This
story is about how humans first realised their sense of "self" as an
individual not about nudity.
Even before eating the apple we have the comment.
Gen 2:23 and the man exclaimed, "Here is someone like me! She is part
of my body, my own flesh and bones. She came from me, a man. So I will
name her Woman!"
So they obviously already realize a sense of self.
