New NeoCon Objective: Making Iraq a Christian Country |
Maybe we'll call this the NeoCon Idiots' Crusade
http://thinkprogress.org/2006/08/03/thinkfast-august-3-2006/
Candidates at a forum held in Colorado recently by James Dobson’s
Focus on the Family talked about opening Iraq to the word of Jesus.
Bentley Rayburn, a retired Air Force major general, said establishing
a democracy in Iraq would send a message. “That will open up hope
within these countries for the gospel of Jesus Christ to change
hearts,” he said.

I've asked myself and others: If Jesus wants to get his message across, why
doesn't he just rent out Madison Square Garden and Yankee Stadium for two
consecutive weekends, have his appearances televised, and tell everybody
what he specifically wants done in the world. I, for one, would pay
attention. Wouldn't you? But if he died and *stayed* dead, then my plan
would be pretty hard to accomplish. Wouldn't it? It would also demonstrate
that the Christian clergy have been lying out their proverbial '*****' all
this time. Wouldn't it? Duped and brainwashed for lo these many years, the
'faithful' have. I'd be really *pissed* if I were one of em'.

Encourage them, send all of them on this crusade. Pay their way with

Focus on the Family talked about opening Iraq to the word of Jesus.
