Object: New Orleans Proves American Government isn't worth a pimple on an Elephant's *****
Yup, the American government can afford to send hundreds of thousands
of soldiers abroad to take over other countries, give billions of
national wealth to the politically connected, and lock up millions of
addicts in prisons for 30K a year, but it can't help American citizens
in third world conditions in a major city. The American government is
a fucking joke. Instead of paying the welfare for all the unnecessary
soldiers and cops, the US government should have built better levies to
prevent New Orleans from getting flooded in the first place. But that
would mean the American government would have to be effective, wouldn't
it? What would America be if it wasn't for its shitty "government"?

I'd guess someone would have to pay cash to the person recieving the

for the United States government.

You know, this whole thing where people are pretending noone
foresaw how bad this would be, that therefore there could be no plan
(thus continuing to ignore the plan that was ignored), and finally
blaming it all on the victims; that's really giving me the shits.
Good old Bush will "investigate", personally. That'll help. 8[
Still, I guess if y'all can all blame Iraqi's for the mess in Iraq,
it's no surprise you can blame the poor minorities for getting treated
like ***** at home.

Well, you must remember -- Iraq represented unfinished Bush family business.
As far as Bush is concerned, New Orleans is just a bunch of poor black
folks -- of little concern to George W. Douchbag and 'Shrubs Thugs.'

You have part of a very good point there.
Look at WHO is trapped and dying in NO right now.
People who didn't have money, or weren't willing to risk the amount of
money it would have cost for bus fare out of the city on the chance that
the hurricane would be a disaster of this magnitude.
People like the elderly, welfare mothers and their kids, etc.
People whose very continued existence COSTS THE STATE MONEY.
And people are wondering why the State is dragging its feet?
The "delays" in sending aid will continue for as long as "plausible
deniability" for the delays being intentional can be maintained.
Just because a plan can't be talked about publicly doesn't mean that a

Damn, Ron. That was brilliant. The subtle nuance. The jabs at leftist
thinking and just enough kook conspiracy to really ignite a fire.

Just because a plan is kept secret doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Think
"PNAC" and "Iraqi Oil" for instance.
Whoops! That's not a secret is it?

The National Guard is also there to distribute food and water coming
from around the country. CNN last night reported that some precincts of
the NOPD had desertion rates around 25-50%. The problem is that the
National Guard is stretched thin by being used heavily in Iraq and
wasn't able to respond as fast as they could if they were home.

Few people will forget how incompetent this president is. The LA and
New Orleans government officials are *right* when they call the Feds a
farce.
It's disgraceful for this to happen in America.
