NEW YORK CITY ATHEISTS MEETS THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 25
"There Are Atheists in Foxholes"
The New York City Atheists will hold their September membership
meeting along with a book discussion this Thursday, September 25,
2003 from 7-9 PM.
The guest speaker will be Richard Cotter of the Military Association
of Atheists and Freethinkers, who will talk on the subject of
Atheists in foxholes. At 9 PM, join in a discussion of Madalyn
O'Hair's book "An Atheist Epic," which tells her account of her
historic MURRAY v. CURLETT case that helped to remove unison prayer
and Bible verse recitation from the public schools.
Meet at the Source of Life Conference Center, 352 Seventh Avenue,
16th floor. The center is located between 29th and 30th streets,
just south of Penn Station. A donation is requested.
