For those of you keeping tabs on my 'story', here's the latest:

I did not receive *any* correspondence from the Marinette County Treasurer's
office in regards to my property taxes despite written requests to address
the issue. The last I heard from the County Treasurer was that Marinette
County would *not* accept my tax payments that I wish to pay on the
one-third interest of four parcels I co-own with two out of state
'half-brothers' (or whatever they are) or 're-distribute' monies that were
applied to my one-third interests despite my vehement, written protests
against such payments. Despite requests to show me what article, rule,
regulation, or statute permits Marinette County to do this, I was presented
none. A protest to the county' Corporation Counsel resulted with nothing
more than the advice to, 'Get a lawyer'. This, despite the fact that a
'staffer' for a *Republican* State Representative had a 'heart', checked
with 'legal' for me, called me back within minutes and declared, 'They can't
do it'. So much for respect for the law in Marinette County, Wisconsin by
local officials. My 2nd (and final) installment of my property taxes are due
by midnight on Monday, July 31. And to think, these people are doing what
they're doing in a wholly flagrant, impudent, and care-free manner -- and
they're getting away with it!

Today I received the 2006 Property 'Assessment' notices. The very first
thing I noticed was that the 'assessment' for a 40-acre parcel of land is
conspicuously missing. (Do any of the legal eagles out there have an idea
why this would be the case?) Another thing I found interesting is the fact
that although the three parcels I have statements for show that the property
value has *decreased* substantially, the parcel I reside on has gone *up*
$3,500. This, despite the fact that the grounds are now over-run with high
grass (Had no gasoline to mow for the longest time. Cutting now would just
be a waste of gas. The grass is just much too high.) and 'bushes' which are
quickly 'taking over' what once was 'pasture'. I don't think I even pounded
*one* nail to 'improve' the property in over a year and a half. In any
event, the property has 'deteriorated' greatly since last year. So I don't
know what the 'assessor' was looking at when he decided that the property's
value 'increased'.

As I write this, sweat is blinding me and causing my eyes to 'burn'. I'm
also sweating like there's no tomorrow. My T-shirt is just drenched with
sweat. There is no 'jumping in the shower' for me. I still have no running
water. Luckily it rained quite a bit in the last 24 hours, so that was good.
I also have no one visiting me to 'offend'. Although the deer might take
exception to that.

I *did* order more groceries finally. (The 'market' employee told me that if
I had not called, she would have called me.) In any event, she told me that
she has not been able to take me anywhere (including going to pay my
property taxes in person) because she's married and the townspeople would
get the 'wrong impression' in regards to us. How's *that* for an excuse to
leave me out here suffering the way I have?

I am still awaiting news from two government agencies in regards to all
this. Frankly, I'd bet the house that the news, *whenever* it comes in, will
be unfavorable to me. I have already seen how the 'big-shots' get every
break and questionable 'practice' go in their favor. Example? After a
five-to-six month 'investigation' involving Douche Bag, the decision went in
his favor. I wasn't even asked *one* question in regards to the affair and
the agency ruled against me. Not one. When I reported I had more information
that I had just received and that was critical to my case, I was told that
the case was 'closed' and that I could *not* speak to the investigator's
superior. How's that for some serious 'investigatin'? Bought like a dozen
donuts, that 'investigator'. Not one *fricken* question!

Anyway, anything 'drastic' will have to wait until I receive 'official' word
from these two agencies. In the meantime the brutal treatment goes on
without *any* let-up. Damn, this is awful.

Thanks to those of you in alt.atheism and American Atheists for your moral
support. It *has* provided me with the willingness to continue the struggle.
These Christians have clearly demonstrated their intolerance for
non-believers with extremity. Let this be a valuable lesson to those of you
who hold the religious right with the the highest degree of suspicion. You
are watching them do their 'work' right before your very eyes. This is just
a 'taste' of what you can expect from a religious right based
administration. They're vile people capable of the utmost cruelty. And worse
yet, they won't listen to reason. They just don't 'hear' you.

Let me just add: Lonliness kills. We are social creatures. I haven't been in
a pleasant 'social' setting in almost two years. It's an experience that you
can't even begin to understand. It's dreadful.
