News server suggestions please? |
I'm about to lose RR news servers, and besides I want one I can use
from my mobile/bluetoth phone dialup, not just home.
So any suggestions for either good free servers, or perhaps servers
that accept paypal payments?

I've been using www.teranews.com -- it's free except for a one time $3.95
startup fee.
I can't complain about the service.

I'm trying, troubleis I have no "not free" address. My provider does
not offer email, so I worte them a letter, so I'll just have to wait

No idea about this news server thing (I use a fucking great VPN, for
you techies out there), but welcome back! Lots of oldtimers (even from
before my time, '99) coming back these days, it seems. Good to have
you here, it will help the signal/noise ratio.

Lost a good friend and a great freethinker to the Catholic church
recently, a person who meant a LOT to me, and I need to hear some sane
people till I feel like the world is NOT a sea of bible swinging nuts.

Well, it's hard to do a good background check because the new google
groups BLOWS, but you seem to have been reasonable way back when ;-)

That sucks man. I used to be more one of those pesky "I'm OK, you're
OK" atheists, but that's a-changing as the world seems to become less
reasonable by the day, due mainly to idiotic believers. Luckily, it
hasn't become personal for me yet.
