It's not a fifty star flag so it is not desecration if the U.S. flag.
But a better question for the flag desecration question is:
Since desecration means to remove sacredness from an object, what is so
sacred about the U.S. flag? Are we like the communist U.S.S.R. where
they thought since the government provides all, then government is god?
To which god are all of these monotheists in America praying?

As Bush can't count to 50, we shouldn't let him off the hook.

But that then opens the real slippery slope, how close to a real flag
must it be before it can be considered a flag for desecration? Do you
really want that decision made by politicians or judges?

Well, we could let the mob do it (not the goodfella variety) but we might
not like the result.
