I assume you are trying to comment on the "story about Adam and Eve"
found in the third chapter of the Book of Genesis. If so, you should
have read the story before you comment on it. "Satan" is not
mentioned in that story, nor is he mentioned anywhere else in the Book
of Genesis.

The serpent was in the garden because God created him, along with the
rest of creation. Satan means the deceiver. In the Genesis account,

and the man to try and deceive God. The serpent and man and woman were
able to do evil because they had been created with free will, which
God gave them so they could love freely - which is, really, the only
way a person can love. Instead, they used it to turn away from God
and, in so doing, they acquired knowledge of good and evil because it
was then that evil first came into existence. Until then, all of
creation was good.
That part of the Genesis account is, of course, primarily a story
which explains among other things the relationship between humanity,
the creation of God, and God, the Creator. That section of Genesis was
also written to detail all the different kinds of lies which can be
told. In the interaction between the serpent, Adam and Eve, and God,
the created beings all lie in a wide variety of ways. It's very
educational.

That's actually not a bad description of an unfree choice.
A choice made in complete ignorance is hard to reconcile with free will,
good call!
Since the god character is undemonsterable, there's no way to know anything
about it, no way to know what sin is, no way to know if you would even want
to be near such a thing. And since you don't know if it even exists, it
can't really exist as a choice, and so you can't really make an informed
decision about it.

the serpent becomes satan when he deceives and encourages the woman
and the man to try and deceive God. The serpent and man and woman were
able to do evil because they had been created with free will,

unable to do choose either.

God gave them so they could love freely - which is, really, the only
way a person can love.
The psychopath says love me or I will kill you, but he does allow a
choice after all.
Instead, they used it to turn away from God
And the psychopath punished them for it.
and, in so doing, they acquired knowledge of good and evil because it
was then that evil first came into existence. Until then, all of
creation was good.
So Adam and Eve, who had no knowledge of good and evil, freely chose
to do evil; and that choice brought evil into the world. Takes your
breath away.
That part of the Genesis account is, of course, primarily a story
which explains among other things the relationship between humanity,
the creation of God, and God, the Creator. That section of Genesis was
also written to detail all the different kinds of lies which can be
told. In the interaction between the serpent, Adam and Eve, and God,
the created beings all lie in a wide variety of ways. It's very
