Object: Noah's Ark II Found in Flood
NEW ORLEANS (LAP) -- SPCA rescuers drawn to a submerged shrimp
boat by a yelping dog yesterday were shocked by what they found
inside. Two cows, two pigs, two chickens, two goats, two cats, two
dogs, and two squirrels. The only survivor was a black labrador who
refused to leave the boat.
The back of the boat had "NOAH II" spray-painted on it, but the real
name of the boat, "KATY II" could be seen underneath the new paint.
No persons, dead or alive, were found inside or near the boat.
"Someone was obviously trying to rescue animals just like in the
Bible," said Steve Toreshing, who finally managed to coax the
surviving dog off the boat with a piece of beef jerkey and several
"good boy" encouragements.
The animals trapped inside the hold of the ship were evidently drowned
when a hole was punched in the side by the mast of a nearby toppled
sailboat. The dog somehow managed to escape and climbed onto the top
level of the boat where rescuers found him howling like a wolf.
"I can't figure out how the cows got in there because they were too
big to fit through the door to the hold," Toreshing said. "I'm sure
whoever did this had good intentions, but it turned out to be another
disaster."
Rescuers took the dog to a local center for lost animals and are
hoping someone will recognize it and claim it, leading to the
discovery of who put the animals on the boat.

Is this true? I couldn't find any references to it in Google.
