In he Creationist-heavy state of Kansas, Matthew Koso, age 22,
is going to have a criminal hearing on August 17'th for raping
a 13-year-old whom he then married in Nebraska -- another heavy
Creationist state.
At issue isn't the rape but the inprisonment of the "husband"
which will do _nobody_ any good. The parents of the girl gave
their permission for the marriage and they don't want to see
her "husband" shipped off to prison while their daughter has a
baby on her own.

Actually you CAN screw your 13-year-old wife. You can't screw her
before marriage, which is what he is charged with. That any country
allows or recognizes marriage in the case of 13-year-olds may well be
ludicrous and distasteful, but nonetheless it's established US case law.

Hi Robyn,
No I didn't fail to notice that. I was just commenting on the marriage
itself. I may be wrong about this, but I thought it was illegal for them to
have sex even after marriage. I believe that's the law in Wisconsin, anyway,
but I'm not a lawyer so don't quote me on it.

I don't remember. Old enough to get his teacher pregnant. The
teacher was released, was caught having sex with the boy again in
a car, and was sent back to prison. The boy is old enough to
marry her now.
