Cervical Cancer Vaccine Successful: Study

An experimental vaccine developed to prevent infection with four types of
the sexually transmitted human papilloma virus (H.P.V) has proved to be
successful.
The virus, which is responsible for the majority of cases of cervical
cancer and genital warts was shown to cut the the infection rate by 90
percent according to a report published in The Lancet Oncology, a British
medical journal.
