Am thoroughly enjoying the fact that it is clearly the *Christians* (and I
use the term loosely) taking on the role of 'Evil' in this struggle between
the forces of 'light' and the forces of 'darkness' out here in the town of
Wausaukee, County of Marinette, Wisconsin.
To be sure, Wausaukee, Wisconsin has any *number* of 'good', decent,
principled residents who find what's being done on the part of town leaders
to be abominable and disgusting beyond words. I actually know a few of them.
But they've chosen not to enter the fray and make matters worse. And until
there's a strong possibility that there's actually something that they can
do that would truly make a difference, it's Spartans to the front,
non-combatants to the rear.
If I somehow survive this ordeal I will, no doubt, actually forgive some of
the individuals actively participating in my mistreatment. Have to. I would
be living with them. Others, however, I will *never* forgive. The level of
cruelty needlessly inflicted upon me is truly staggering. It's been cruelty
leveled at me solely for cruelty's sake. And -- I just love this part -- by
people who proudly profess to be 'Christians'. Isn't *that* retarded
religious thinking with a capital 'R'?
I need to expand on that: Just think of what these artificial Christians out
my way are doing. They're participating in the most inhumane, sadistic
mistreatment of one of their 'neighbors'. In doing so, they are clearly
violating not only Jesus' own directives and counsel, but the 'spirit' of
his teaching as well. So you have, in essence, evil people doing evil things
in the name of Jesus. That is what it really boils down to. They somehow
think that inflicting such grievous suffering on an atheist because of his
atheism that such an inherently act of undeniable evil, nevertheless, makes
them 'good', hell, *outstanding* Christians. And what do they expect to gain
from such demented, depraved mistreatment of a fellow human being? Why
nothing more than the temporary gratitude of the most amoral, grotesquely
evil man in all of Marinette County, Wisconsin, it seems. That, or maybe a
few of them urging on the others are getting a new car or truck. Maybe the
promise to have their driveways plowed out once or twice for free this
winter, perhaps? Their 'eternal souls' being 'bought' for a new car or
truck? Suffer eternal damnation in exchange for making sure they have a
clean driveway this winter? Is that how retarded these people are? Or is it
that when Jesus tells them through their precious bible that the second
greatest commandment is to 'love thy neighbor as thyself', that one should
treat others in the manner *they* would like to be treated, that one should
try one's best to turn the other check and *forgive* one's enemies --
followed with the admonition: 'Judge ye *not*, lest *ye* be judged!', that
he wasn't being in the least bit serious? How militantly ignorant can some
of these so-called 'Christians' *get*? How devoid of compassion? How devoid
of principle? Do they really want their children to grow up to be just like
*them*?
Watching the actions of these woefully ignorant people from a distance;
aren't you atheists all proud to be atheists and those of you *real*
Christians nothing like them?

My Michigan State Spartans won yesterday. Could a Packer victory over the
Washington redskins make my weekend a pleasant one?
