Now Get Theist Lies Texted To You |
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/4318750.stm
reveals that "The Bible has been translated into text message-speak in
Australia to allow its lessons to be disseminated more easily. 'In da
Bginnin God cre8d da heavens & da earth,' it begins. The entire 31,173
verses can be downloaded for free and sent by mobile phone" according
to a spokesman for The Bible Society in Australia, who has the unlikely
but appropriate name of Michael Chant.
What a pity they can't run it through a truth filter before it gets
distributed. They could save about 90% of the bandwidth that way.

I'm just trying to imagine this txt mssge speak being compounded by the
usual poor spelling, grammar and rAnDOm caPiTaliZatioN of the average
fundy. The result would surely be an unintelligible stream of nonsense.
But then, that's a pretty fair description of the bible anyway...

The god-bots have had "dial-a-prayer" here since before I was born.
It's just their way of keeping up with the other scammers.
I wonder if it works on phones with pentangles on them?
Or does the SIM card burn up, and blow pea-soup in your ear?
Now, we gotta move with the times.
I'm thinking about "funding" an atheist version of these text
messages:
"Der 8nt n0 g@d, U stUpD SoD"
"Ev0lushn Roolz"
I'm currently working on a verse that combines Mary and the Big Bang
Theory.
