NOW I get it! |
The other day I was listening to the local "Xtian Radio" station. The
show was "Faith to Action", and the topic was homosexual marriage. A
caller said something that allowed me to finally understand why the
fundies are so worked up over the idea of gay marriage. The caller was
afraid that if they do not vigorously protest gay marriage, the same fate
that befell Sodom and Gomorrah will befall the entire country (fire and
brimstone I believe?).
Now it all makes sense, I guess. If I could only figure out why
some people take myths and fairy tales seriously, it would make more sense.

Why would you subject yourself to that? I've blocked it from my
radio's "seek" function!

Seeing as the great sin that Sodom and Gomorrah permitted that meant
their destruction was inhospitality, the fundies better change their
stance or they get lightning bolts up their asses for being so
inhospitable... or not, seeing as there is no god.

I don't know how the psychosis originated but when it's prevalent
around you from birth and on into childhood, it seems normal. Myself,
and I suppose, many others eventually grew up and became able to make
our choice to adopt reality over the religion from the family. We know
how dangerous the psychosis is.
Really, when you're born into it you're stuck, even when you realize
the sham (I did when of single digit age, but I didn't exactly know
it. It took time for my individual thought to develop into my own.)
They can't be ignored, they are infiltrating the USA's government now,
and they won't stop without an outside force.
Here's more for free, which may be what it's worth:
Fortunately for me, I'll probably die before total religious lockdown.
And that's not too many years. For those of you who are young and
well, or have children, you are fucked. You have to rise up against
insanity. You must vote out anyone who has aided corporations more
than they've helped you. That means practically everyone on the slate.
Do not vote on qualifications. Vote for new inexperienced blood. Get
the parasites out. We'd be better off with honest incompetence than we
are with the slick experienced con artists currently duping America
with the rest of the world in it's sights.
OK the rest of the world: you, too, must work with anyone and everyone
to defeat the neocons because they're after your oil and other loot,
too.
The abuse has been so deeply rooted for so long, getting worse by
degree, small at first, but exponential in growth: It's completed the
coup but isn't stopping. But the way it crept up over years makes it
seem normal. Action, boys and girls, action. Not words. Organize. Roll
