Bush Tax Cuts Validated in New Poll
A new poll conducted by Zogby International for The O’Leary Report and
The John Tower Center at Southern Methodist University found that a
majority of Americans think the Bush tax cuts were good for them.
Los Angeles, CA, (PRWEB) January 10, 2004 -- A new poll conducted by
Zogby International for The O’Leary Report and The John Tower Center
at Southern Methodist University of 1,200 Americans with a margin of
error of + 2.9% found that a majority of Americans think the Bush tax
cuts were good for them.
The survey asked: “Personally, were the Bush tax cuts good for you or
bad for you?”
Forty-one percent of Americans said the tax cuts were good for them.
Another 31% of voters said the tax cuts made no difference and only
25% said the tax cuts were bad for them. “These results validate the
Bush tax cuts and demonstrate that Democratic presidential hopefuls
Howard Dean and ***** Gephardt are out of touch with voter sentiment on
this issue,” said poll sponsor Bradley S. O’Leary a veteran political
consultant and publisher of The O’Leary Report. The survey also found
that 48% of voters who invest in the stock market or have a 401-K
retirement plan thought the Bush tax cuts were good for them.
Thirty-four percent of moderate Democrats even thought the Bush tax
cuts were good for them compared to 30% who felt they were bad for
them. Conservatives and Republicans overwhelmingly supported the Bush
tax cuts. Married voters supported the Bush tax cuts by a 51% (good)
to 20% (bad) margin. Single voters, in contrast, felt the tax cuts
were bad for them by a margin of 34% to 25%.
The survey asked a second question: Suppose you earned one million
dollars in your job. Which of the following tax rates do you think
would be fair to you and the federal government? Less than 10%,
10-20%, 21-30%, or more than 30%.
The results repudiate Howard Dean’s assertion that America’s wealthy
need to pay more in taxes. Twenty-nine percent of voters felt a tax
rate between 10% and 20% was most appropriate while 28% said a tax
rate of between 21% and 30% was fair. Only 21% of voters thought a tax
rate of more than 30% was fair. “The soak-the-rich rhetoric being
heard from some of the Democratic presidential front-runners is not
supported by a majority of Americans who feel a smaller tax rate for
America’s wealthiest income earners is appropriate,” said O’Leary.

Kerry is a JOKE!
This is too good to pass up. Remember when Bill Clinton used to go
around saying that he was so in touch with the needs of the black
community that he was "the first black president?' Well, Kerry proved
that he was no Bill Clinton when he stuck his foot in his mouth and
broke it off last week. Here's what happened.
In an interview with the American Urban Radio Network, Kerry said
"President Clinton was often known as the first black president. I
wouldn't be upset if I could earn the right to be the second." Well,
considering neither one of those guys were black, you can predict what
happened next.
Paula Diane Harris, founder of the Andrew Young National Center for
Social Change, a civil rights and legal services advocacy group, had
this to say: "John Kerry is not a black man - he is a privileged white
man who has no idea what it is to be a poor white in this country, let
alone a black man." She also criticized civil rights leaders who "sit
back and ignore these types of comments, a practice that further
insults African-Americans." The revenge of political correctness
strikes again.
Always nice when the liberals get some of their own medicine.

MRS KERRY MOVED TO SECURE LOCATION
Will Remain There Until November 3, Party Officials Confirm
The Democratic National Committee confirmed today that Teresa Heinz
Kerry, wife of presidential nominee John Kerry, has been moved to a
secure undisclosed location and will remain there until November 3,
the day after the fall election.
In a terse statement released to reporters at the party convention in
Boston, the DNC indicated that "Mrs. Kerry has agreed with party
officials that she could make her most valuable contributions to the
presidential campaign from a soundproof chamber buried miles beneath
the earth's crust."
The DNC would not elaborate on when and how the outspoken Mrs. Kerry
made her departure from Boston, but sources said yesterday that the
she was spirited away from her hotel under cover of darkness by what
are being described as "burly Democratic party goons."
"There was some sort of struggle, a whole lot of swearing, and then
nothing," said one witness. "I think chloroform and a tube sock may
have played a role."
Mrs. Kerry's departure from the campaign occurred just hours after she
took great pains to explain why she told a reporter on Monday to
"shove it."
"In my native Mozambique, 'shove it' is the same as 'shalom,'" she
said. "It means hello, goodbye and peace."
But when a reporter challenged this explanation, she snapped, "You can
take a 64-oz bottle of Heinz ketchup and shove it up your *****,
douchebag."
Regaining her composure, Mrs. Kerry said that in Mozambique, inviting
someone to shove a ketchup bottle up his or her ***** was the same thing
as saying "Have a nice day."
