Why do you hate the United States Constitution?
Why do you hate America?
Those who volunteer to serve their country in the United States military are
by understanding agreeing to make the supreme sacrifice in answer to their
country's call - and this is something to be honored by all Americans.
This does not preclude the responsibilty of every American to demand from
our elected and appointed leaders the highest possible standards when
considering whether to send those who serve into harm's way in defense of
this great nation. George W. Bush and his accolytes have grossly failed in
this responsibilty, and it is in honor of those who serve and have died for
this country that we who speak out against this administration do so as part
of our patriotic duty to the United States of America.
George W. Bush and his supporters have helped the 9/11 mass murderers
succeed beyond their wildest dreams. America is divided internally; more
Americans are dead; the world is united against America, terrorism
world-wide has TRIPLED; and the middle-east's newest recruiting and training
ground for terrorists - Iraq - is about to implement a socialist Islamic
theocracy.
Nice job.

How christian and how compassionate of you...
Or do you mean that if your Jesus Christ came to Earth and made the
same type of gatherings that the Bible said he did, you'd be happy to
have him arrested?
Besides, another proof that freedom of expression in the USA is more

Careful, the first amendment is often times misunderstood. There are
conditions that will restrict a person from freedom of speach and could
often times land a person in trouble with the law.
In this case, if they didn't get a permit and they were required to, then
that's on them.
While I will always support freedom of speach, we must also be made aware of
conditions that limit our freedom of speech.
A good example: You can't get up and speak to a crowd of people and urge
them to do something violent.

I always hear people arguing that the Constitution must be strictly
observed. I also believe in strict construction.
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or
prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech,
or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to
petition the government for a redress of grievances."
The First Amendment says nothing about a "permit". Strictly construed, any
law requiring a permit would be unconstitutional. But of course we all know
that people want a strict constuction only when it suits their political
agenda.

Then let the court system take it's course.
The First Amendment says nothing about, "you shall not speek out and provoke
people to breaking the law" either, but guess what..that type of speach is
restricted.
Brandenburg v. Ohio (1969), the Court adopted a new test - the "imminent
lawless action" test.
The Court set a three-part test that the government MUST meet if certain
communication is NOT to be protected by the First Amendment:
(1) the speaker subjectively intended incitement
(2) in context, the words used were likely to produce imminent, lawless
action
(3) the words used by the speaker objectively encouraged and urged
incitement
This test replaced the "clear and present danger" test, in determining when
speech should not be protected by the First amendment.

So, the First Amendment exists only for people you agree with and everyone
else should
be "silenced" by the police? Mr. Young, why do you hate America?
Careful, the first amendment is often times misunderstood. There are
conditions that will restrict a person from freedom of speach and could
often times land a person in trouble with the law.
Mr. Young said nothing at all about any such conditions. He said, "It's about time someone
silenced this whining *****."
In other words, he cares only that the government "silenced" someone with whom he
disagreed. He clearly hates America.

Thankyou. I can't fathom how a woman who just lost her son, and who's
mother has one foot in the grave, can find all this time to travel,
have meetings, collect money, and attend rallies. Maybe she should
spend a few days at home and grieve with some quiet dignity.

She did you ignorant *****.
America is divided internally; more
Americans are dead; the world is united against America, terrorism
world-wide has TRIPLED; and the middle-east's newest recruiting and training
ground for terrorists - Iraq - is about to implement a socialist Islamic
theocracy.
Nice job.
-Jeff

So a personal tragedy shouldn't inspire a passionate campaign? Where
would the March of Dimes or the Red Cross or Jerry Lewis' Labor Day
Telethon be without personal tragedy to inspire them? You're a sick

The operation and goals of the American military is hardly the March
of Dimes. Perhaps you should stop and remember the purpose of the
military. Hint - it is not to raise money for a charity.

Especially since her son signed up voluntarily. He was not drafted
and was hired and trained to do exactly what he was killed in the
process of doing. It was part of the agreement that he would go where
he was told to go and do what he was told to do. There are detailed
and exact procedures in the Uniform Code of Military Justice which
provides for anyone who feels he is given an unlawful order. These
procedures are told to every recruit as a vital and necessary part of
their basic training.

Oh yeah right, Bush really respected the Uniform Code of Military Justice,
he just went AWOL.
Bush's kids haven't been signed up.
Bush and Cheney both skipped out, yet they send other people's kids to die
for oil and Israel's security.

And I support so charging him if it can be proven.
Bush's kids haven't been signed up.
There is currently no law requiring enlistment. If draft registration
evasion is involved they should be prosecuted.
Bush and Cheney both skipped out, yet they send other people's kids to die
for oil and Israel's security.
Their elected positions may require such actions. If the majority
disagrees they can be called to task over this.
