Of Course The GOP Aren't Playing Poltics With Terri Schiavo |
http://nomoremister.blogspot.com/2005/03/from-linda-douglass-on-abc-news.html
ABC News has obtained talking points circulated among Republican
senators explaining why they should vote to intervene in the Schiavo
case. Among them: "This is an important moral issue and the pro-life
base will be excited..." and "This is a great political issue... this
is a tough issue for Democrats."

You're apparently also for unending suffering, the overturning
of medical and judicial opinions that don't match your own by any means
necessary, and the interference in familial rights and responsibilities
as outlined in law.
This country is truly heading for Hell if the people in power
can't tell that their stand on gay marriage and the Terry Schiavo case
are completely and utterly at odds with one another. In one case,
they're all about the sanctity of marriage; in the other, they're all
for violating the sanctity of marriage.

And if it weren't for modern technology, she would have died
fifteen years ago. What we're doing to her isn't natural or Christian;
it's sick.

So, keep the feeding tube removed. It's God's call, you say. Removal
of the feeding tube is be a sure bet that it'll be God's call. If He
wants to save her so she can become a "soldier against the evil Satanist
Atheists", then the removal of the tube will ensure that she will be
able to become that soldier. If she dies, then perhaps God wanted her
to die after all (or there's no God to want anything at all anyway).

It's ironic that the people talking about how terrible her death would be
are the same ones who prevent access to quick painless deaths for the
suffering through euthanasia!

Not me, I see leaving her starve to death as barbaric, but a lethal,
painless dose of morphine, well that's a different matter.
