Actually, this was relatively minor compared to what many of us consider to be
the defining characteristic of the Puritans...their policy of executing
religious dissenters and the establishment of such a harsh religious law as to
make Islamic Sharia seem kind and benevolent.
The Puritans were the Taliban of their day. No amount of anti-American
apologetics by their supporters will show otherwise.
