It's not something I'd likely buy right now, but if I had it I'd wear it in
public no problem.
I used to have a shirt that said "Christianity is Stupid" that was a gift
from a friend. Lotta people at the bar loved that shirt.
And on the subject of T shirt Hell, I think they're great. I own a couple
shirts from them.

I don't know anything about that outfit.....but it was part of some swag my

Someone was backstage handing stuff out to the crew etc. I don't recall

I cant understand why christians would be offended - according to them jesus
came to earth to die for our sins. Therefore the people that killed him the
first time did him, and apparently us, a favour- they allowed him to fulfill
his plan. If they had not killed him no-one would have heard of him.
When he comes again hes not going to get much coverage if he just hangs
about a bit - people in two thousand years time are not going to say -
jesus - he hung about a bit for our sins. No, we have to kill him again its
what he wants.

Title: Subject Change to Computers; Re: Okay, I *dare you... 28 Sep 2005 04:54:46 PM
Had a bad mobo which caused all sorts of problems with hard drives
with both linux and winders on it.
New mobo is Gigabyte 7VT600P-RZ.
What I need to do is reinstall Linux on the HD. I'm aware to do this
requires changing the bios setting so that it boots from the CD drive
then exiting the screen and saving the new bios settings which then
leads to a reboot of the system.
Problem is the system *still* boots from the HD! WTF????
I go back into the bios and the only boot is from the CD, all other
methods are disabled. What gives?
I'm installing Linux (mandrake 10.1) from d/l .iso's as I'm missing
the install CD for 'drake 9.2. The .iso's were verified against the
d/l .iso's and were fine.
/cue 'Call of the Wild'
HHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAALLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!
Thank you.

computer to move down the list of boot devices.

Would have to be an internal list of devices which override the
toggled bios.

Check & make sure the CD is readable. If it's not, that will cause a
CD bootup failure. While usually it should just give a "OS not found"
error or some such, it may be set up on some sort of "internal list"
like you say to boot from the HD if no other boot options are
available.

Title: Subject Change to Computers; Re: Okay, I *dare you... 28 Sep 2005 08:11:00 PM
Thank you.
Further info.
The .iso's were burned to CD as bootable.
Figured to use the XP disk to delete the hda partion and reformat that
partion before shutting the computer down and sliding in Linux. The
XP disk didn't even detect the linux partions so cancelled and shut
the system down.
What's interesting is the boot from CD setting picked up on the XP
disk, but apparently not from the Linux. The boot from CD line did
come up on screen and I hit a key ( or not another time ) and it went
straight to try to boot from the Linux HD.
Whether with a Linux drive or a Winblows drive if there's no CD in the
drive, with boot from CD only selected (all other methods disabled) it
*still* (attempts to boot with Linux) and does boot up with Winblows.

This reminds me of the new Darwin Fish I saw last week, or it's new to
me at least.
I pulled up behind a car that had what I though was a christain fish
with some words in it, so I got really close and leaned out the window
so I could read it, preparing to be all offended. Inside the fish it
read " 'n chips "
I was with my daughter, we both started laughing and pounding the
dashboard, I looked at the car next to me and the guy driving that car
was doing the same thing, and at the green light we pulled up to the
Darwin Fish 'n Chips car and had an impromptu Atheist Parade down
Nanaimo Street.

I wear a shirt much more provocative than that. It has quote from
Magellen about having more faith in a shadow than in the church. It
gets response EVERY time I wear it.

Would an atheist's convention qualify as 'public'?

It did work today and its quite an accurate t-shirt. Christians would
joyously kill him.

Were I live that is pretty mild. Then again, I live in Manhattan. The
only people who would probably get upset are the Orthodox Jews and for
very different reasons than you had in mind. I would not wear one
because I gave up the notion of deliberately pissing off for no
particular reason a long time ago. I would like to maximize human
happiness, offending random strangers rarely supports that goal. YMMV.
