Nuclear missiles claim 'stupid'
BAGHDAD: Iraq's Interior Ministry dismissed as "stupid" a report in a
local newspaper yesterday that said three nuclear missiles had been
found near Saddam Hussein's hometown of Tikrit.
A senior US military official said he had no information on the report
in the Iraqi newspaper Al Sabah. A spokesman at the Interior Ministry
said: "It's stupid."
The report, picked up by the United Press International news agency,
sent the US dollar higher against other major currencies on the
foreign exchanges
