Contrary to what Perry and YKW say, calling someone "un-American" because
they do not believe in or support the President is contrary what Bush
believes in.
Bush, today said in his speech in Virginia that we enjoy freedom of speech
and expression and he aims to keep it that way. Bravo for him. But I still
disagree with some of his policies and going to war with Iraq. And
apparently about half of Americans if not more agree with me. I suppose
they are also un-American. It's the first time in history that people are
called un-American for having opposing views of the administration. And
apparently it's the Republican way now. If you speak against the President,
you are un-American. I heard that on a couple TV programs and apparently
someone higher up in the Party coined that term to be used against non-Party
members. How about un-Republican for a change?? Perry said he calls me
that because of things I say about Bush. Well la dee da. Can Perry be more
specific?? I and most others do not go around calling people un-American
for their views. After all, it's what this country was built on. Opposing
views and another reason why we have at least two political parties. I
guess Perry and YKW would love for this country to have only the Republican
party. Everything they say tends to lean in that direction. After all,
they refute everything negative the press or individuals have to say about
the adminstration. EVERYTHING. Including Concurrent Receipt. Since Bush
didn't go for CR for everyone, I suppose it's ok with those that support the
President and call those that oppose him un-American. After all, regardless
of what prior administrations did for CR, including Republican presidents,
Bush did have the bill on his desk to sign. He could have signed it for
everyone, instead he went along with his appointees and signed it only for a
few. Some of those few are right here on this newsgroup and considers
anyone complaining about what the administration did to CR un-American.
Perry, can you please let us know specifically what I have said for you to
label me as un-American?? I'm sure others would like to know too since I'm
not the only one you have labeled un-American. Like it or not Perry, I AM
AMERICAN, so get used to it. You really need to move closer to YKW since
it's obvious you both deserve each other. At least you both think Bush can
do no wrong.
November is coming up fast and the polls the first of November will surely
reflect how Americans feel. Oh, in case you didn't know, you are right. I
don't like Bush. In your mind, if someone doesn't like Bush, they must be a
Democrat, right? Wrong.
This isn't an attack or flame on you Perry, but I just thought it was very
interesting that Bush doesn't share your views, so what does that make you??
