Only Americans with pro-Bush signs are allowed to line the President's

When President Bush travels around the United States, the Secret Service
visits the location ahead of time and orders local police to set up
"free speech zones" or
"protest zones," where people opposed to Bush policies (and sometimes
sign-carrying
supporters) are quarantined.
That is EXACTLY true. When the pres came to our little town, they kept
him quanantined at the airport in a hanger, where he was to give his
speech. Then they gave out "tickets" for people to ride a bus to the
airport to hear him speak...with the stipulation that you could not
bring any signs with you. The bushists handed out pro-bush signs for
people to show at the airport.
Bet they couldn't search everyone for markers, though.
The same thing was done here in Indy a year or two ago.
They designated a free speech zone several blocks away from the route that
Shrub took. It was not anywhere near the line of sight of the motorcade.
