Deer homophobes:
Are you tired of being singled out for your irrational fear? Does the
thought of being flamed keep you awake at night? Well I share your pain.
The very thought of typing the word, "there," when I meant to write,
"they're," or even, "their," terrifies me! I cringe at the very thought of
someone on Usenet spotting such a grammatical error.
Well we can do something about this. The next time someone rags you for
saying, "hear," instead of, "here," I pledge to take issue with your
tormentor. I ask only that you do the same for me. Together we can end
homophobia in our lifetimes.

If so, then shouldn't we refer to sufferers of that other fear as
homsexualphobes? Could it be that the the words describing both conditions
are ... homophones?
