I am an Olds fan from way back, my first car was a 1959 4 dr. hardtop, with
the Red Rocket engine. I would have loved to have had a chance to have
driven, and owned, one of these. Thanks for the link, Stoney, I enjoyed it,
immensely.

The Oldsmobiles of the 1950's are some of the most attractive cars ever
built. I'd have to say the '55 Ninety-Eight was the best looking of the
entire bunch.

Hmmm.........
'According to Apker, GM officials ordered Oldsmobile management to
destroy the F-88, along with all plans and documentation. The collector
said there were actually two concepts built, but one burned when the
engine caught fire and no one could figure out how to open the hood and
extinguish the flames.'
Ooops !!!

Check out the rear fenders of the F-88 and compare them to the rear fenders
of the 53-55 Corvettes.

No need. Swapping of ideas from one area, or competitior, to another
is quite common.
