OT: It's so hard for the Seattle Times to be PC |
It seems that with the Seahawks' big game coming up this weekend against
that Eastern team, the paper is having trouble providing coverage. It
comes out of their desire not to refer to so-called native-Americans in
a culturally insensitive manner. The sage editors at that rag it seems,
feel that mention of the team name, REDSKINS, might offend and
traumatize people of red complexion. I hear that they've allowed
mention of REDSKINS once in their sports columns, with later references
being restricted to calling them Washington (but, of course, they live
in Washington, oh the tangled web).

So since you are of a Jewish extraction, perhaps you would be happy if
the Redskins were to change their name to the Shylocks.
Oh that's right, PC outrage only applies to other people.
