A Romanian witch says she will use her white magic skills to win a
seat as an MP.
Witch Timisoara, from Craiova, Dolj county, is running for senate for
the Alliance for the Union of Romanian Gypsies.
She's already asked other Romanian witches to help her with their
spells, reports National newspaper.
"To be honest I am happy my counter-candidates are not so powerful and
my spells will hit them hard. I can't wait to face them in TV
debates," Timisoara said.
Alliance spokeswoman Benone Veniamin, said: "Timisoara is a witch of
measureless powers, known and respected all over the European
continent.

precipitous gorge, which is why the Turks attacking Transylvania from
here often suffered bloody defeat at the hands of even a small number
of defenders. What is more, the route can be blocked easily by
chopped-down trees.

The actual source of a witch's power -- or the power of any other
priest/ess, holy person, shaman, etc -- is the belief of the other people
involved. If someone actually believes that they have been cursed/blessed,
he will zero in on the "fulfilment" of the spell and ignore the things
that show otherwise. With strong enough belief, the curse/blessing can
become self-fulfilling.
If her opponents actually believe she has the power to cast spells on
them, they will probably become so nervous that they come off looking
foolish, ignorant and incapable. Thus, her big talk is all part of a
strategy to psych her opponents out.
