OT: The dead Gestapo officers and Stalin era KGB officers must be ecstatic |
This is mind-numbing idiocy on the part of the cowardly US Gov.

Secret Service Probes Boy's Art Depicting Bush As Devil
POSTED: 10:37 a.m. EDT April 26, 2004
PROSSER, Wash. -- One drawing showed President George W. Bush's head on
a stick. Another depicted Bush as a devil launching a missile.
The drawings by a 15-year-old boy in Prosser were enough to prompt some
questions from the Secret Service.
Agents questioned the teen after being called by police. The boy's art
teacher told school officials about the drawings, and they called
police.
The boy was not arrested. The school district has taken disciplinary
action but refused to say what it was.

Yup, Citizen. Thank goodness that teacher was vigilant and recognized a
matter of internal security that transcended boyish behavior. Before you

Notice that the boy was *not* arrested. The police called the Secret
Service who then had to respond, they were probably as disgusted about
it as we are.

Secret Service Probes Boy's Art Depicting Bush As Devil
POSTED: 10:37 a.m. EDT April 26, 2004
PROSSER, Wash. -- One drawing showed President George W. Bush's
head on a stick. Another depicted Bush as a devil launching a
missile.
The drawings by a 15-year-old boy in Prosser were enough to
prompt
some questions from the Secret Service.
Agents questioned the teen after being called by police. The
boy's
art teacher told school officials about the drawings, and they
called police.
The boy was not arrested. The school district has taken
disciplinary action but refused to say what it was.
Of course, this is not at all an attempt to squash dissent and
other First Amendment rights. No, not at all.
Notice that the boy was *not* arrested. The police called the
Secret
Service who then had to respond, they were probably as disgusted
about it as we are.
We've gone completely goofy with "zero-tolerance" rules in schools.
Oh, right, it's all the fault of those evil liberals...
I knew you'd find some way to put your moronic religious-right
spin on this.
What, pointing out that the boy wasn't arrested (he wasn't) is
religious-right spin? Or was it my comment about how goofy we've
gotten
over zero-tolerance rules in schools? (we have)
Get real, I *agree* it was ridiculous, I'm just pointing out that
neither Bush nor "the US Gov" is to blame here.
I dare someone to put Bush's face on Cthulhu, put it up on a site and
publish the URL in this NG.
It's been done with Alfred E Neuman, MAD magazine's cover boy, but
Cthulhu seems more appropriate.
Nah, that should be Shrub Niggurath. ;-)

It would seem that freedom of speech, has once again become an
un-American activity.

Sadly. But then cowardice is the 'American Way'.... :\
