I'm pretty sure the actual message in that picture was an entry in one
of Worth1000's photoshop contests a while back.

Look at the road name on the bridge.
It's W. Bush Lane.

Not quite - it's West Bush Lake Road. (Bush Lake is about a mile south of the
494 Beltline. We went exploring in that part of southwest Hennepin County
that afternoon, and actually saw Bush Lake...fortunately, before Baby Bush was
much more than an embarrassment to local politicians in Texas.)

I've actually been by the site of Sign13.jpg - it's on the I-494
stretch through Bloomington (Minnesota) heading west towards US 169
and Eden Prairie...

Look at the road name on the bridge.
It's W. Bush Lane.

Not quite - it's West Bush Lake Road. (Bush Lake is about a mile
south of the 494 Beltline. We went exploring in that part of
southwest Hennepin County that afternoon, and actually saw Bush
Lake...fortunately, before Baby Bush was much more than an
embarrassment to local politicians in Texas.)

My first thought was 'lake,' but put 'lane' as there wasn't any
indication of a lake in the area. It's gotta be thirty years since
I've been in Hennepin County.

I had the advantage of being married to someone who spent her first two
decades within spitting distance of western Minnesota, and thus speaks
fluent Minnesotan. That made it easier for me to blend in when we've
visited the Cities. You betcha. ;-)

Yah, eh. :)

Hehehehe. Ya mite chk onlne fer da 'Yooper Calender' ut ov Calumet,

Ya, you can't trust dose Yoopers, heck no. You betcha.

Betcha was one heck of a ball player.

Not when he was playing for the Colt .45s in their expansion season, he
wasn't. He'd almost get carried away by some of those skeets that'd
occasionally pick off small children in the bleachers just off the Kirby side
of the stadium (opposite of where the Dome was going up)...

One skeet will drain a small child in 15 nanoseconds.

One of the younger ones can take that long...the adults can do it a bit
faster. (Best to avoid the annual Mosquito Festival, coming up in July in
beautiful downtown Clute...)

Indeed. There they sacrifice travellers to the whining gods.
