OT--Whiny Bastage (hurricane kat) |
Did any of you happen to see the footage of this guy complaining about the
leaky roof at the New Orleans Superdome?
A paraphrase: "Man, the Superdome let us down, man...it's wet in here, it's
raining, waaaah, waaaaah."
Poor baby got rained on--but had free water, food, and better shelter than
most people along the Coast. It's not like the whole roof failed and caved
in and smashed his ***** flat.
I wonder if he'd have complained about the facilities in Galveston, TX a
century ago:

You said it, Doc. I posted in another thread about how I wish the folks
that whine instead of helping clean up would just leave. Maybe then
some of us with roots there could afford property again.

I heard ANOTHER one this afternoon. Consider that there's no electicity at
all; there's no water system at all; the emergency crews and cops can
barely talk to each other over radios because the infrastructure is zilch.
And some woman whines to the NPR crew that "We ain't got water, we ain't
got food! This ain't gonna work, man--they need to DO SOMETHING!"
Yeah.
Do something.
Maybe Congress should get together and pass some laws making NOT DOING
SOMETHING illegal.
What the hell is it with people? It's 48 hours after a major fucking storm,
and more people than just her have been significantly more than
inconvenienced by the lack of food and water.
I hate it for her--she probably won't make it for the duration if she can't
handle 48 hours.
She needs to be snatched up, thrown into a boat and then a helicopter, and
given a Whiner's Tour of the Gulf Coast. Show her the dead bodies floating
in the flooded streets. Show her the houses that are nothing but kindling.
Show her the K-Mart in Biloxi that is nothing but a sort of roof and the
metal framing. The hospitals that are barely functioning because they don't
have the resources.
THEN...give this whiner a big spoon, set her ***** down behind the counter in
a serving line in a Red Cross mess tent, and let her slop whatever food
there is into people's trays. Let her look them in the eyes and tell them
she's got it bad.

It's called 'start walking.' With such wide-spread destruction
there's only so much that can be done, and it flat takes time. If you
stay, death is almost certain. If you start walking, there's a chance
for your survival.

Hey, you've that right. Just a moment ago I read a post from some whiner
who lost power for a whole 9 hours! Plus he had to go to work! Imagine that!

Well, I called it a car. It was just half of a roller skate with one wheel
and a bit of tin can taped to the front.

Crap! Poor baby. At least he had a place to stay. Someone should of told
him to go and join those people on the rooftops, stranded without food
and drinking water, and not knowing when or if they would be rescued.
