O.T. 9,000 dead G.I.s killed in Iraq |
The blogs are stating that if you add in the number of G.I's that died
of wounds after being evacuated from Iraq the total number of dead
G.I's is around 9,000 from the Iraq war. Any way of verifying this
figure?

adventures?

Maybe, but my bet would be on directives from HQ. The only suggestion
I can make is to contact with someone who's currently working in
personnel in a unit which is deployed and ask the question.

In this case, even a reply along 'It's top secret how we count our
losses' would be very telling.

SOME blog articles have tossed that idea around a bit, and others have
shot it down. No need to depend on outside sources, just think it
through. The official figure is now around 1,760 dead, and there's an
official list of names. If the real figure was 9,000, that's more than
7,000 that are not on the list. Where are their families? Where are the
more than 7,000 families who have lost a loved one in Iraq but see that
their loved one's name is not listed? They'd be outraged, no?

of names. If the real figure was 9,000, that's more than 7,000 that are
not on the list. Where are their families? Where are the more than 7,000
families who have lost a loved one in Iraq but see that their loved one's
name is not listed? They'd be outraged, no?
