O.T. Another confusing religious bumper sticker |
Don't Judge the Book by the Movie.
I thought they loved The Passion of Jesus the Christ or are they
talking about another movie?
There were about 10 antiabortion stickers on this beautiful brand new
car.
And on Christo Rey. I guess that means Christ the King in spanish?

I saw one that was more honest than the car's owner might have liked:
PRAY or be PREY.

Well, the Book could only be the bible. There have been other biblical
movies, so they might be referring to all of them as a whole. On a long
shot, they may be referring to the way some Hollyweird producers portray
the clergy as dark, mysterious, and filled with ancient evil.

Well, you can rub those off if you work at it. Four years after quitting
cigars my truck still smells like them.

Heh... sounds like a laundry detergent, doesn't it?

I was thinking more of those evil cult flicks.

What's inaccurate about portraying religion as an evil cult?

Nothing at all, actually. That's why I like them.

Don't Judge a Book by its Movie is a summer reading program.
But of course the religious nuts have stolen this idea, because they
have 0 originality. Some group disagrees with Mel's movie. Says the
bible never reference Jesus as falling.
Christo Rey does mean Christ the king in Spanish.
