Post-September 11, George Bush began an unwinnable war on multiple
fronts against a nebulous enemy. And two years on, a new study shows,
the campaign has had little impact on its targets. Brian Whitaker

Politicians have a habit of declaring war on all sorts of intangible
enemies - war on crime, war on drugs, war on whatever. These are only
wars in a manner of speaking and we don't normally expect aircraft
carriers to be dispatched and missiles readied in order to deal with
them.
Five days after the September 11 suicide attacks on New York and
Washington, President George Bush declared his intention to retaliate.
"This crusade, this war on terrorism," he said, "is going to take a
while".

Shame that the moronic twat couldn't declare war on unemployment. But hey,
that would take effort, much easier to send the armed forces around the
world, where they can press red buttons and make innocents and enemies
vanish in a cloud of explosive.

Just before Sept.11 the Bush administration was getting ready to declare a
"war on pornography".

Do you mean banning images of the dead littering the streets of zones of
conflict, little kids that have lost their limbs or lives.... Sorry, I'm
dreaming, Bush wouldn't see that as pornography
