In its never-ending extravaganza of glitz and glamour and expansive
mind-broadening things, the entertainment industry almost produced the
perfect metaphor incarnate. Almost. Had one fast food restaraunt
bought a commercial a little closer to the incident, the entire Janet
Jackson incident could have been appropriately titled,
"McTittilation". A trend would have been born, a catch phrase would
have been created, and another layer of commerce would have been added
to the already staggeringly complex entertainment biz.... But they
lost it. They wasted it. They sent it out into the ethers only for
it to be picked up by _my_ demented little mind.
And thus, the story ends. Goodbye "McTittilation", better luck next
time, boys.
Maybe next year we can try for a "McWeiner".
Or some such.
