walksalone who had thunk he said what he thought, but maybe not.
"I am convinced that those societies (as the Indians) which live without
government, enjoy in their general mass an infinitely greater degree of
happiness than those who live under the European governments. Among the
former, public opinion is in the place of law, and restrains morals as
powerfully as laws ever did anywhere. Among the latter, under pretense of
governing, they have divided their nations into two classes, wolves and
sheep. I do not exaggerate... Experience declares that man is the only
animal which devours his own kind; for I can apply no milder term to the
governments of Europe, and to the general prey of the rich on the poor."

Heh.
That exchange made my day, about 21:30 when I was still at work,
having started about 07:15, not counting travel time. Excellent.
Mind you, we went to the pub about 23:30, and I got home about 01:30.
So that was all right.
Downside?
My wife is away but back on Fri, so I have a, erm, ... tiny... amount
of tidying up to do, and it's apparently too late to employ one of
them naked cleaners. Or even one who is clothed.
Anyway, all I want to say to Walksalone is that "it has got much
better, and might be worth a look".
Now, the hovering, cat stroking, and then sleep. Providing there are
no good films on...

I try, & frequently fail, to follow some very sound advise. When you have
nothing to say, you do not have to prove it. Not to mention, I do not like
to make *me too* posts. So, should I do otherwise?
