In the great debate about "OT: Are You A Secret Englishman?" in
alt.atheism, Therion Ware <autodelete@city-of-dis.com> catapaulted the
following boulder:

for the quiz.
I got 5/10 (1,5,7,8,10)
I am sure (6) Either Gerrard Winstanley or John Lilburne also said
exactly that.
Also, there is another Welshman who became Prime Minister: Margaret
Hilda Thatcher Nee Roberts.

I don't think Londoners count as English, but think Scots probably do.

I will have you know I lived in Aberdeen for a while, and for some
reason kept bumping in to a guy who was French ex-foreign legion. I
was doing a 3 month contract at a paper mill (Donside) and I swear to
God (as it were, purely in a figurative sense...) they had the biggest
cats hanging around the factory where they made the paper (think 15
meter rollers working at 15 meters a second).
I mean, I'm doing a network survey, finding out where the points are,
and get confronted by this cat that was the size of a leopard and
about as well balanced.
Talk about evolution in action.... though in that instance I think it
was rather more mine that the cats'.

Sounds like something from a Sinbad film.
Is it one of those "We've been making paper since the Norman
invasion"-type companies? They've probably been breeding guard-cats for
about that long.
My American friend has a cat called Big King, who is about a metre
long, custardy coloured, with big sad eyes, a pink nose, big clean pink
pads on his paws. He purs in his sleep, and is a cheeky brat, but O
what a jolly fat cat!
If he pounces on you from the ground, he can topple you.
